Are Oasis Performing At Anthony Joshua Vs Daniel Dubois Fight? Liam Gallagher Setlist Confirmed

Liam Gallagher is poised to perform live Oasis hits at Wembley Stadium this Saturday night, with hopes that his brother Noel will join him on stage.

The Oasis frontman has been confirmed to play before the Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois fight for the IBF World Heavyweight title, marking Liam’s first performance since announcing Oasis’ comeback.

Turki Alalshikh, a prominent Saudi boxing figure, arranged for Liam to entertain the 96,000 fans. It was recently disclosed that Simon Jordan of talkSPORT had invited Noel to the fight in June in an attempt to end the feud, unaware that the brothers had reconciled and were planning reunion gigs.

Speculation has been mounting that Liam and his brother Noel, who recently reformed the band for a 2025 tour, could be seen together in public for the first time in years at the iconic venue.

The last time the Manchester rockers performed was on August 22 2009 at V Festival in Staffordshire, before Noel quit six days later stating he “simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer” following a backstage brawl at a Paris event, reports the Mirror.

Here’s everything you need to know about Liam’s performance….

How to watch

The Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois fight will be broadcast on DAZN, TNT Sport Box Office and Sky Sports Box Office. The price for all three is £19.99 on top of your regular subscription for either platform.

The world title bout between Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois at Wembley tonight is all set to capture the attention of boxing fans, with the first bell expected to ring shortly after 10pm. The fighters will make their way to the ring at around 9.45pm.

If the undercard completes ahead of time, the main event could start sooner than planned.

For music lovers, there’s an added treat as Liam Gallagher is set to perform three tracks before the fight post 10pm, so be sure to tune in after 9pm.

In terms of what fans can expect from Gallagher’s performance, it’s been confirmed that he will be delivering a set brimming with Oasis classics at tonight’s clash. He took to social media platform X on Friday to tease the crowd-pleasing selection with a message: “SETLIST for the boxing tmoz ROCK N ROLL STAR SUPERSONIC CIGS n ALCOHOL tune in or get tuned in LG x.”

Ahead of what’s anticipated to be an epic turnout, Gallagher responded to fan queries about his excitement, quipping: “Yeah it’s a little on the small side but I’ll manage.”

Despite the big event, the singer has hinted that his stay at Wembley won’t extend beyond his performance. With plans to make his way to Malta for the ‘Liam Gallagher And Friends’ festival, Gallagher’s set at the boxing match will be a fleeting visit.

Fans have long speculated about an Oasis reunion, but for now, they’ll have to settle for Liam’s solo renditions of the band’s hit tunes.

Liam and Noel haven’t shared a stage since 2009, after they dramatically ended their band due to years of internal disputes and bitter disagreements. Fans were ecstatic when the brothers announced a reunion for a series of concerts in 2025.

However, there’s speculation that Noel might make an unexpected appearance at Liam’s pre-fight gig, and the Saudi boxing chief didn’t do much to quash these rumours.

“I hope so! ” Turki responded when talkSPORT asked if Noel would be joining his brother on stage. “It will be something amazing if we get them together. We will try. Why not? ” Simon, a talkSPORT presenter, also mentioned he had spoken to Noel about attending the match before the announcement of the brothers’ reunion for the sold-out gigs next year.

“I spoke to Noel yesterday all about [the Oasis reunion],” he said in August. “It’s funny because I asked him – basically he came to the fight between Joshua Buatsi and Dan Azeez [in February] – and I had asked him about September 21.

“His reason for not going was because he didn’t think it was a good look, if he was in the crowd, Liam was singing and he was wearing earmuffs! But now they’ve all made friends and a big bag of money around the world for them [it could change]. He loves going [to the big fights], all this hullabaloo for Oasis reforming, they didn’t make the same noise for Blur,” Simon clarified. However, Eddie Hearn dismissed the speculation, and when quizzed about the Gallaghers performing on Saturday, he crisply responded: “No, I doubt it.”

In August, fans were left astounded when Liam and Noel unveiled plans to captivate audiences with reunion gigs across the UK next year, promising appearances in London, Edinburgh and Cardiff, along with their native Manchester. Regrettably, countless fans were met with disappointment after ticket websites crashed, thwarting their efforts to secure passes to these highly-anticipated concerts.
